So today was the big day. Got up at around 5:30 to get ready. Left at around 06:30. Was sent back at the “gates” of the operating theatre. It took until lunch time before Pádraig was back up on the ward, and the afternoon to hear the good news from the surgeon that all had gone well and the operation had been a success!
He said we could most likely leave on Saturday – and celebrate Eastern at home.
Now, that was good news!
Can’t write more. Exhaustion settling in.
Great news. I thought of him this morning and lit a candle for him at the shrine of… non-other than St. Patrick himself!
This candle business certainly worked! The saint was looking after the sinner:)
Fantastic news Reinhard. We’re all delighted to know that the op is over now and that it went well. Brilliant! Warmest wishes to you all. Raphael
Thank you so much, Raphael. He is still very bruised and completely exhausted – but I’m sure he’ll get over this pretty soon, helped by all of his friends’ and relatives’ good thoughts and wishes.
Glad to hear it went well. Fantastic.
No more operations or hospitals if all goes well, at least not for the foreseeable future, Andrew! Can’t believe it! (How’s the running?)
I am up to 20 k. I hope to do 26 or so.. I wish I could train more but, I have had to keep taking it easy because of shinsplints! Ill find the strength on the day I hope!
That’s great news! Happy Easter.
Happy Easter to you too, Diane!
Short post perhaps, but so good post !!!
Sometimes, short is good!
Praying for him and the whole family. God bless you
Manal, what a good friend you are! Thank you for your prayers! Good bless you and your family!
