Can’t believe it.
Back in UKE since 7am.
Will stay here with him for the next few days and nights.
It’ll take some time (and maybe some stitches on Monday) until we’ll know for sure but so far he can breathe ok with the hole in his neck closed of and the cannula removed. We didn’t expect that to happen at all. But we’re over the moon – and sooo tired.
So keep your fingers crossed, the candles burning, the prayers going, and your enthusiasm and energy floating up the stream. In the Dreamboat!
What happened today and how it all happened took my breath away. This has been one of the most amazing days of my life. If this all works out the way it looks, I’ll do something big. Any ideas?

Fantastic news Reinhard- Candles lighting and thinking of you all.
Aodhán
There is an ocean of candles, Aodhán, I can see it across the horizon and no, I’m not hallucinating. If this works out, yesterday was one of the happiest days in my life.
Wonderful news! Our thoughts and prayers for continued success!
Isn’t it, Diane. It’s so hard to believe that we almost believed what was the unbelievable put to us with such certainty by people we expected to help. A few more days and we’ll know if our insistence and Pádraig’s own huge effort made that crucial difference…
Delighted with this fantastic progress, my thoughts with you all at all times 🙂
Diane
Diane, thank you for your very kind words – thoughts can change the world! And you are helping Pádraig to change what people think is possible!
Wonderful. The man goes from strength to strength. And singing too!!! Don’t worry about the “out of tune”: that’s just the way he sings! Brilliant news.
Don’t do anything too big: you’re already doing amazing wonders EVERY DAY!!! —
Don’t over-stretch yourself — conserve your powers for what matters here (& always has — P.Sch. himself is relying on you.
Seos with love for you all
He’s not going to stop at anything, Seos, and neither will we. If everything else fails, we just start singing. And we won’t stop until everyone else is convinced. There’s nothing as big as him, a tall order, a head above those guys who want to stop him! Dreamboat time. Love time. Hope time. And you’re right bang in the middle of it, Seos, right in the middle.
Wonderful news. We are so happy to hear this. Great to see all the family’s perseverance and faith rewarded on this day.
Perseverance and faith are two of Pádraig’s trademarks – and he’s passed them on to us. Pure brilliance!
Iontach ar fad! Coinnigh oraibh, tá muid libh 🙂
mhaith linn a bheith gan tú, Caoimhe? This is you, and Pádraig’s friends, and Pádraig inspiring all of us! He’s rocking the German health system!
Cé mhaith linn a bheith gan tú, Caoimhe?
Iontach ar fad a phadraig. Can’t wait to see you ! Massive step for him . Hope it keeps getting better
Tá Pádraig ach iontach! His single-mindedness has transcended countries, people, conventions. Where will it all end?
Wonderful news! You must all be over the moon…thinking good thoughts and sending warmth and light to you and Padraig.
We actually have been over the moon and around it non-stop since yesterday, Susan! You’re light is shining here and your good thoughts and warmth are comforting Pádraig!
So amazing!! Where there’s a will there is a way. Thank God. Ger
Yes, Ger. The most amazing day in our lives. You need the will to find the way – you’re right. But also: thank God! Reinhard
Amazing news! 🙂
Yes, yes, yes. Still can’t believe it, Claire!
Absolutely wonderful news!
Best wishes to Padraig and to you and your family.
Thank you, Shirley! I passed you good wishes on to Pádraig and the rest of the gang!
Such fantasic news Reinhard. I’ve been keeping the fingers and toes crossed and the candles are lit and sending hope and good wishes to you all.
Fingers, toes, and whatever else – all is needed, Sadhbh! There’s something going on here and it’s terribly exciting, in a positive way this time!

Dia duit, Norma agus an chlann! – These are days not to be forgotten. Pádraig will keep going because he knows he’s standing on the shoulders of his friends!
Cadle lit and burning brightly. Siobhán x
There ain’t anything like candles burning brightly, Siobhán (apart, maybe, from a good open fire:). They’ll lead Pádraig on his way…
