It’s late enough to carry the news about a fun night out in the Wishing Well. I know, I know, I know. Poker is not everybody’s cup of tea, but then, Hand auf’s Herz, have you ever seen someone playing poker drinking tea?

Brian and Niall organised an amazing night that would have been right down Pádraig’s lane – no doubt, he would have lost a fortune playing with the ‘pros’:) But – out of the the bottom of their hearts the ‘pros’ decided that it was pay back time. What an amazing idea, what an amazing night!

Thank you, Brian and Niall and all who turned up to loose money!

I hope you will believe me. But when I walked in to Pádraig’s room today, having been away for a couple of days, I really thought that he had improved quite a bit. He looked well, he ate well, and he reacted well. It’s the weekend and not much is happening over the weekend in the hospital, patients and therapist all take a break. I discovered that Pádraig’s room is right beside a roof top garden! With a bit of luck, we’ll be spending those last lazy summer evenings in fresh air, looking out over the roofs of Hamburg.

So – thank you to Brian and Niall and all of Pádraig’s friends who made it tonight to the Wishing Well!!! – Please do not forget the Sea Swim for Pádraig on 06 September!
